Suspect robbing Metro Detroit homes of victims attending funerals

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office says a suspect appears to be targeting homes of recently deceased or family members of recently deceased that are listed in an obituary. (Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office)

Police are trying to find a suspect who has broken into seven homes since Jan. 23 while the victims attended funerals.

The break-ins have occurred in Washtenaw, Livingston, Monroe and Oakland counties.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect appears to be targeting homes of recently deceased or family members of recently deceased that are listed in an obituary. During one of the incidents, the suspect was caught on a security camera driving a silver, four-door vehicle thought to be a Pontiac Grand Prix.
