Michigan State scores twice in top of ninth to knock off No. 1 Oregon State in baseball

Michigan State scored two runs in the top of the ninth to defeat top-ranked Oregon State, 8-7, Saturday as part of the Pac-12-Big Ten Baseball Challenge in Surprise, Ariz.

Catcher Joel Fisher hit a grand slam to cap off a 5-RBI game while going 3-for-5. Cam Gibson, Ryan Richardson, Blaise Salter and P.J. Nowak each collected two hits for the Spartans.

Jake Lowery pitched 1.1 inning of scoreless relief to earn the win. The Spartans (4-1) play Washington at 4 p.m. Sunday.
