July’s scheduled Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour stops at The Palace of Auburn Hills were canceled Friday afternoon, Cirque du Soleil announced in a press release.
The tour was slotted to play The Palace on July 1 and 2, but “certain schedule adjustments were required to maximize efficient logistics and routing,” according to a release. The cancellations also affect shows in Salt Lake City, Rio Rancho and Topeka.
Customers who purchased tickets online and by phone will receive automatic refunds, and all other refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Jackson’s posthumously released “Xscape” sold 157,000 copies its first week in stores and debuts at No. 2 on this week’s Billboard 200.
