Michigan State is among the favorites to qualify for the first four-team college football playoff, though it isnít picked to make it, according to sportsbook Bovada.
Michigan State, which last season finished 13-1 with a Big Ten championship and a Rose Bowl victory, is one of 11 schools listed by the website with a chance to qualify. Defending national champion Florida State is the favorite, followed by Oregon, Ohio State and Alabama.
Rounding out the field are Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU, UCLA, Baylor and Southern California.
Michigan State has two of those teams on its schedule this fall, traveling to Oregon on Sept. 6, and playing host to Ohio State on Nov. 8.
