Lansing — A preliminary investigation is pointing to murder-suicide in the deaths of two people discovered after their 6-year-old son was found outside crying in a Lansing neighborhood.
Police say in a release that the 47-year-old husband is believed to have killed his 43-year-old wife.
Officers responded about 1 a.m. Thursday following a report about the child and found the boy uninjured. Police went to the boy’s home and found his mother dead on a floor and his father’s body inside the garage.
The child is in protective custody and authorities were trying to notify relatives of the couple.
How they were killed and names of the victims have not been released.
