Re: Nolan Finley’s May 29 column, “Oakland Co. exec Patterson feels water pressure from Gov. Snyder”: It is interesting to contemplate the bond debt owed by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. I wonder how many people who voted for those bonds over the years now live in Oakland and Macomb County? I also wonder about the history of L. Brooks Patterson's 25 year running media feud with Coleman Young and how much that war of words contributed to the overall failure of Detroit?

Brooks might be right
Unfortunately, I live in the corrupt county of Wayne. I side with Brooks Patterson. He has his faults, but look at Wayne County’s poor leadership. Patterson is the only one looking out for customers of the Detroit water system.
