Michigan State lands 6-foot-7, 293-pound OL Noah Listermann to 2015 recruit class

Michigan State added its fifth commitment to its 2015 class on Sunday when offensive lineman Noah Listermann of Cincinnati Winton Woods pledged to the Spartans.

“The way they work and the people there really impressed me,” Listermann told Scout.com, which first reported the commitment. “They kind of remind me of us at Winton Woods. They keep their nose to the grindstone; they don’t BS and they are just a hardnosed team.

“I know they had a good season, but not everybody predicted they would have a good season and they came out guns a blazing.”

The 6-foot-7, 293-pound Listermann is a three-star prospect and Scout.com reported that he also had scholarship offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin and Cincinnati, among others.

“Each of the visits I made to Michigan State was important,” he said. “Each time I visited I got to know more about everybody and the more I went there, the more I could see myself there.”

Listermann joins Detroit King offensive lineman Kyonta Stallworth, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s defensive back Tyson Smith, Phoenix Pinnacle quarterback Brian Lewerke and Detroit Cass Tech quarterback Jayru Campbell as commits to the 2015 class. Campbell’s status remains unclear after he was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 15 months of probation for body slamming a school security guard earlier this year.
