Detroit — Authorities have released the identity of a woman found stabbed to death in an SUV on the city’s west side Monday.
An autopsy Tuesday determined that Desanee Young, 39, died of multiple stab and incised wounds, said Mary Mazur, spokeswoman for the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Young’s body was discovered in her red sport utility vehicle parked in front of an abandoned home in the 8200 block of Piedmont, near Belton.
According to the Detroit Police Department, the body appeared to have suffered a number of cuts and wounds. The woman was reportedly the mother of four, including three of whom were adopted.
Friends of the victim reportedly told police they didn’t know why she would have driven into the city.
As of Tuesday afternoon police had no suspects in the case.
Officer Adam Madera said: “The victim’s husband was not brought in for questioning, but he has been interviewed.”
Police are asking anyone with information to call (313) 596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP.
