Birmingham Brother Rice's Alex Malzone, who has made a verbal commitment to play for Michigan, has been selected as a finalist for the Elite 11 quarterback camp.
Malzone competed in the Elite 11 regional camp in Columbus over the weekend, and that's where his invitation was extended.
The final Elite 11 camp will take place in Oregon in July, and 18 quarterbacks will be selected to participate.
Late Monday, Malzone wrote on Twitter: "Won't be the last time I'm in a good mood driving home from Columbus" -- presumably a reference to his Elite 11 invitation.
Malzone (6-2, 200 pounds) is ranked a four-star prospect and the No. 15 quarterback in the nation by Scout.com for the 2015 class.
