Friday's Tigers-Red Sox lineups, live tweets: Joe Nathan holds down 9th

Detroit — The last time they played the Red Sox, the Tigers were at their highest.

Now, they’re at the lowest.

Boston and Detroit meet Friday night at Comerica Park (7:08, FSD/97.1) in the first of a three-game series that will feature two nationally televised games.

Saturday’s game is on Fox, and Sunday’s on ESPN.

These teams met last month, and the Tigers swept the set in Fenway Park to improve to 27-12 on the season. Since, they have gone 4-13, and have seen their AL Central lead dwindle to just 2.5 games over the White Sox.

Drew Smyly goes for the Tigers on Friday night, against Rubby De La Rosa.
