Detroit — Police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl who was found Monday morning in a home on the city's west side.
The cause of death was not clear, but the girl may have had a medical condition, Officer Adam Madera said.
Police say the girl collapsed overnight at her grandmother’s house, just down the street from her own home, where police spoke with her dad. The grandmother’s house is located on Asbury Park, near McNichols.
The girl was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Police say it doesn't appear to be a homicide.
Two officers spoke with a man and a woman outside of the home Monday morning.
