Patrick Beilein, the son of Michigan basketball coach John Beilein, will interview for the head-coaching position at Division I Marist this week, according to a report.
SNY.tv reported late Sunday that Beilein is in the mix, along will Mike Maker of Williams and Kyle Smith of Columbia.
The job at Marist, located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., is open because coach Jeff Bower left to become general manager of the Pistons.
Beilein, 31, spent time as a graduate manager on his Dadís Michigan staff, then joined staffs at Dartmouth and Bradley. Heís currently an assistant coach at West Virginia Wesleyan.
He played collegiately under John Beilein at West Virginia, scoring more than 1,000 points and helping the Mountaineers to Sweet 16 and Elight Eight runs.
