Troy Police are seeking help in identifying the men involved in a smash-and-grab robbery Friday at the Somerset Collection in which they made off with seven expensive Cartier watches.

The four, described as men in their early 20s, entered Saks Fifth Avenue at 5:51 p.m. and two went directly to a display case containing watches.

One man, described as about 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, pulled a small sledgehammer from underneath a gray hooded sweatshirt and smashed the glass case. A second man, described as 5-foot-5 and wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, then snatched seven watches out of the case.

While fleeing the store, one watch was dropped, police said. All four jumped into a gray Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call police at (248) 524-0777.
