Vincent Goodwill's top 20 NBA free-agent targets

The uncertainty of free agency is looming, and the Detroit Pistons, while not at center stage, have an important decision to make concerning their future.

Greg Monroe isn't in the star-studded class of bigger names like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, but skilled young big men like him aren't usually available because they're so valuable.

Monroe finds himself wedged between Andre Drummond and Josh Smith, a fact not lost on many suitors who believe he can be wooed away from Detroit with the promise of space on the floor and a boatload of money.

He's not the only one facing a big choice this summer, an offseason that stands to change the shape of the NBA for the foreseeable future.

Will James stay in Miami?

If Anthony leaves New York, where will he go?

What about the future of Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol and the whisperer himself, Indiana's Lance Stephenson?

Either way, the landscape is bound to change, in no small part shaped by these key free agents.
