Chris Clark, ranked the No. 1 tight end in the nation for the 2015 class by Scout.com, on Thursday gave Michigan a verbal commitment.

Clark, 6-6 and 250 pounds, is from Old Farms High in Avon, Conn. He is a five-star prospect and was offered by all of the nation’s major programs, including Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and many others.

“Clark is a complete tight end who can block, get out and catch the ball and also be a factor in the red zone,” says Scout.com recruiting analyst Brian Dohn. “Clark is a complete tight end who should have a big impact quickly in college.”

Clark is the eighth commitment in Michigan’s 2015 class.
