Authorities identify body found during Detroit house fire

Officials have identified the body of a man firefighters found Thursday morning as they extinguished a fire on the city’s east side.

Deshon Lynch, 19, died of multiple gunshot wounds, said Mary Mazur, spokeswoman for the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Firefighters found Lynch’s body in the back of a vacant house around 6 a.m. Thursday on the 12000 block of Westphalia near Gratiot.
