Tigers set to host 'garage' sale at Comerica Park; lots of cool items up for grabs

The Tigers are hosting a 'garage' sale at Comerica Park on Thursday and Friday. (Detroit Tigers)

Detroit — The Tigers did a little spring cleaning.

And so, naturally, now they’re having a summer garage sale.

Next week, Thursday and Friday, the Tigers will be offering fans a chance to stop by Comerica Park and pick through an assortment of stadium-used items — ranging from modest (t-shirts) to lavish (pool tables!).

Merchandise will start as low as $5, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Detroit Tigers Foundation.

Among what fans can expect to find:

■A wide variety of furniture, including couches, chairs, bar stools and tables.

■A selection of TVs, ranging from 15 inches to 60 inches.

■Champagne bottles from Tigers clubhouse celebrations.

■Hockey lockers, presumably from Joe Louis Arena.

■Heck, there even will be refrigerators.

And there’s expected to be much, more more.

The merchandise has piled up at the ballpark as the Tigers, in recent years, have undergone a number of renovations.

The “garage” sale runs from 3-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday. The Tigers are offering free parking, in Lot 1, with entry into the sale located at Gate B, by the Pepsi Porch.

Cash and credit cards will be accepted, but there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales will be final.
