Roseville man arraigned on charges after man who fell from car dies

A Roseville man was arraigned Tuesday in connection with the death of a man who fell while clinging to the outside of a moving car.

Roshard Murray, 23, was in 39th District Court to be arraigned on two charges: operating under the influence causing death, a 15-year felony, and second-degree operating under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Police said Murray was driving a light green 1985 Buick around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Pinehurst in Detroit with the 31-year-old victim hanging onto the outside of the vehicle.

Its not known why the man was either on roof of the vehicle or on the trunk when he fell off, police said. He hit his head, causing serious injury, and died Monday evening at a local hospital.

District Court Judge Marco Santia set Murrays bond at $100,000. His next court date is July 2.
