Reports that Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was arrested in Dallas early Sunday, according to a police spokesman, were inaccurate.

Police said the man arrested was the NFL star’s brother, Yaqub Talib.

Aqib Talib, 28, a seven-year NFL veteran, “has assured me it’s not him,” agent Todd France told The Denver Post.

The Dallas Police Department had said Sunday that Aqib Talib was arrested after he was allegedly caught throwing bottles and causing a disturbance at a nightclub.

“My apologies to Aqib Talib,” police spokesman Maj. Max Geron said in a tweet.
