Tigers' Miguel Cabrera maintains large margin among first basemen in All-Star voting

The Tigersí Miguel Cabrera still leads in voting by a large margin among first basemen for the American League All-Star team. AL voting totals were updated Monday.

Cabrera has 3,323,380 votes to lead Jose Abreu of the White Sox (1,801,592) and Chris Davis of the Orioles (1,292,412).

The Tigersí Ian Kinsler (1,603,185) trails the Marinersí Robinson Cano (2,474,924) among second basemen, and Detroitís Victor Martinez is third in the designated hitter category.

Cabreraís vote total is third among all American League players. The Blue Jaysí Jose Bautista and the Angelsí Mike Trout, both outfielders, have 4,460,245 and 4,085,647 votes, respectively.

Online voting at MLB.com concludes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday. Final results will be announced on the All-Star Selection Show at 7 p.m. Sunday on ESPN.

The All-Star Game is Tuesday, July 15 at Target Field in Minneapolis.
