Detroit — A 26-year-old man has been charged with third-degree arson in connection with a string of fires set in Detroit buildings.
The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Tuesday that Anthony Fields also is charged with obstruction of justice and resisting police.
The charges involve two of the fires in the string.
The first fire was set about 1 a.m. Monday in a vacant commercial building on the city’s north end. Another building was set ablaze about 6:30 a.m.
Fields is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Detroit’s 36th District Court.
