* Victor Martinez will not start again Tuesday night, because of a side strain. J.D. Martinez is filling in as the Tigersí designated hitter, batting fourth.

* Starter Rick Porcello is coming off his first complete-game shutout, blanking the Rangers on Thursday in Arlington, Texas. Porcello hasnít allowed a run in his last 16 innings.

* Austin Jackson continues to move around the lineup. On Sunday, he served as the Tigers leadoff hitter, where he struck out four times and hit into a double play. He moved to the No. 9 spot on Monday night, as manager Brad Ausmus moved Rajai Davis ó the gameís hero, with a walk-off grand slam ó to the leadoff spot. Jackson is back in the top spot again.

* Aís slugger Yoenis Cespedes isnít in the starting lineup, because of a hamstring injury thatís considered minor. Cespedes owns a 14-game hitting streak.
