It appears that ESPN will rank Michigan State’s Tom Izzo among the top three coaches in college basketball.

The countdown, revealed daily on ESPN.com, had Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski ranked at No. 4 on Tuesday, leaving Izzo as a notable omission on the top 50 list.

The top three presumably will include Izzo, Florida’s Billy Donovan and Kentucky’s John Calipari.

Michigan’s John Beilein was ranked No. 9.

Other Big Ten coaches in the top 50 are No. 49 Richard Pitino of Minnesota, No. 33 Fran McCaffery of Iowa, No. 32 Tim Miles of Nebraska, No. 20 Thad Matta of Ohio State and No. 7 Bo Ryan of Wisconsin.
