Former Michigan State assistant Doug Wojcik, now the head coach at the College of Charleston, is being investigated by the school for verbal abuse of his players, according to a report.
A College of Charleston athletic department source told the Post and Courier of Charleston, S.C., that Wojcik has been under investigation for several weeks. It says Wojcik is expected to be placed on probation for the month of August and undergo counseling for two weeks.
Wojcik, an assistant to Tom Izzo at MSU in 2003-04, is 39-28 in two seasons at Charleston. He was Tulsa’s head coach from 2005-06 through 2011-12 and compiled a 140-92 record but was fired in March 2012.
