Tigers, Cubs team up to promote Rick Porcello, Anthony Rizzo for Final Vote

The Tigers and Cubs are teaming up to try to get pitcher Rick Porcello and first baseman Anthony Rizzo elected to the All-Star Game in the Final Vote.

Fans can vote for Porcello and Rizzo online at tigers.com/vote or cubs.com/vote, or text “A3” for Porcello and “N4” for Rizzo to 89269.

Porcello started for the Tigers Sunday night in their game against the Rays. He is 11-4 with a 3.12 ERA and was working on a 25-inning scoreless streak entering Sunday’s game. He has pitched back-to-back complete-game shutouts.

One player from each league will be added to the All-Star Game roster on the Final Vote.


Fans can vote at MLB.com, and have until 4 p.m. Thursday to cast their ballots.
