Oscar-winner Gwynneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin made headlines in March when they announced they were separating in what they called a “conscious uncoupling.” But Page Six reports that the presumably unhappy couple, 41 and 37, respectively, were spotted several times this week in the Hamptons, including dining out with their two kids, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8. “They were operating like a couple, and with the kids looked like a happy family,” said an unidentified witness. Gifted, but homely?
Judging from a wax effigy at the Jane Austen Centre in Bath, England, the famously tart author of “Sense and Sensibility” and “Emma” was flat-chested and sported a big nose. Up till now, the only likeness was a dour-faced drawing done by Austen’s sister, Cassandra, in 1810. Former FBI forensic artist Melissa Dring used that as a starting point, but also relied on contemporary accounts of the author’s likeness to flesh out her 5’6” wax creation. Tobin and Bendik had reportedly talked about marrying, and an unidentified friend told London’s Daily Mail that the 28-year-old actress is “inconsolable.” In an eerie coincidence, Bendik’s death comes almost one year to the day since “Glee” standout Cory
Kate on her own
Now that she’s been thoroughly vetted by the mandarins in Buckingham Palace, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, will apparently spread her wings and make her first solo foreign visit. Royal-hubby William, 32, is about to start a new job as a pilot for an air ambulance service, and Kate, 32, will head to the Mediterranean island of Malta in September to celebrate its 50 years of independence from Great Britain, according to news reports circulating on the island. Asked about the trip, a palace spokesman told People.com, “We will announce any overseas trip in due course.”
Just do it
Five years after they almost divorced in 2009, “Once Upon a Time” actress Emilie de Ravin and actor-director Joshua Janowicz, both 32, are at it again. Janowicz filed divorce papers Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to People.
