Pro golfers Nancy Lopez and Meg Mallon are two of the 23 female pro golfers expected to participate in an effort to raise $1 million for Cornerstone Schools’ Nevada campus.
Cornerstone, in collaboration with the LGPA and the Turning Point Scholarship Fund, will host the Turning Point Invitational on Aug. 25 at the Country Club of Detroit.
“The LPGA is delighted to partner with the Turning Point Scholarship Fund and the Cornerstone Schools in order to provide the opportunity for so many Detroit children to receive an excellent education,” said LPGA commissioner Michael Whan.
Passes for the event’s limited gallery, including access to the course, players and lunch are available. Each gallery pass includes two tickets to the sold-out Tigers-Yankees game on Aug. 26 and Cornerstone’s Be a Tiger for Kids pre-game tailgate on Woodward. Gallery passes, at $500 each or 2 for $800, can be obtained by calling (313) 368-8580 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
