Novi— A 53-year-old Farmington Hills man was charged Friday in a double shooting in which he allegedly wounded his estranged wife and another man.
Police were dispatched to the 22900 block of Summer House Court in the Pavilion Court Apartments complex near Nine Mile and Haggerty at 4:55 p.m. Thursday. A 41-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds identified her estranged husband, Filip Pjetruski, as the person responsible. He was taken into custody at the scene and a handgun was recovered by police.
Thewoman, who was not identified, underwent surgery at an area hospital and is expected to survive, police said Friday. A second victim, identified only as a 35-year-old Novi man, drove himself to the police department to report the shooting and was also taken to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. He has been released from the hospital, police said.
Pjetruski was charged Friday before Novi 52-1 District Magistrate Andra Richardson with two counts of assault with intent to commit murder; three firearms related offenses and one count of first-degree home invasion. The offenses carry up to life in prison.
Richardson ordered Pjetruski held in the Oakland County Jail in lieu of $2 million cash surety bond and set his next hearing for Wednesday before Judge Dennis Powers.
