1 dead, 1 hurt in crash in Southfield

Southfield One person was killed and another injured in a crash Sunday night between a pickup and a recreational vehicle.

According to the Southfield Police Department, the crash occurred at about 8:10 p.m. in the area of Aberdeen and Cambridge, in an area west of Greenfield and north of 11 Mile.

When officers arrived, they found a pickup that had rolled after colliding with an RV.

There were two people in the pickup, one was dead at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the RV was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

According to police, the RV was southbound on Aberdeen and was attempting to make a left turn when the pickup tried to pass it. Police are still investigating the crash.
