Forward Tomas Tatar and the Red Wings have agreed to a three-year deal worth $2.75 million annually.
Tatar, a 23-year-old left wing, was the second-leading goal scorer for the Red Wings last season — his first full season in the NHL — with 19 goals. He also led the team in shots (158) and had a plus-12 rating (third best on the team).
Only Gustav Nyquist scored more goals for Detroit with 28.
The Red Wings drafted Tatar 60th overall in 2009. In 100 career games with the Red Wings, Tatar has 24 goals and 23 assists.
