Cameron Chambers, a four-star receiver from Timber Creek High in Sicklerville, N.J., on Friday committed to Michigan State.
While Chambers recently said his top-five schools were Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Alabama, some recruiting analysts viewed it as a two-horse race between the Wolverines and Spartans.
Chambers (6-2, 200) is ranked a four-star prospect and the No. 43 receiver in the nation by Scout.com for 2016. He is ranked the No. 7 receiver and the No. 48 prospect overall by Rivals.com.
Chambers had 57 catches for 1,196 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore for Timber Creek last season.
“Chambers is big, long, athletic and runs well,” according to Scout.com national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn. “He gets off the line of scrimmage quickly, is good getting past pressing cornerbacks and has the speed to get down the field.”
