Michigan State basketball's schedule for Orlando Classic revealed

East Lansing — More of Michigan State’s nonconference men’s basketball schedule was revealed Tuesday with the release of the bracket for the Orlando Classic.

Michigan State will host Santa Clara in a non-bracketed game at the Breslin Center before heading to Orlando and playing Rider at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 — Thanksgiving. The winner of that game will play Nov. 28 against the winner of Marquette and Georgia Tech.

Kansas, Tennessee, Rhode Island and Santa Clara are on the other side of the bracket. The championship game and consolation games will be played on Nov. 30.

It is the second time Michigan State has played in the event after going 2-1 in 2008. It also marks the second event the Spartans will be part of that also includes Kansas. The teams are part of the Champions Classic on Nov. 18 in Indianapolis. Michigan State plays Duke at 7:30 that night followed by Kansas and Kentucky.
