Grapevine: CBS may trade Brit for Brit as 'Late Late Show' host

James Corden fans, get ready. Reports are buzzing that he’s slated to replace Craig Ferguson as host of “Late Late Show” on CBS when Ferg steps down in December. Wait, who is James Corden? He’s a 35-year-old British comedian, best known as co-writer and star of the BBC sitcom “Gavin & Stacey.” Americans will get a closer look at him this December when the Disney musical fantasy film “Into the Woods” is released. Corden stars in it alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and others. CBS is expected to make the official announcement about the “Late Late Show” soon.

Marianne Faithfull talks about Morrison's death

Singer and actress Marianne Faithfull recently interviewed with Mojo magazine to promote her new album and admitted that an old boyfriend of hers was a heroin dealer who likely sold a fatal dose to Doors frontman Jim Morrison. “He went to see Jim Morrison and killed him,” she told Mojo. “I mean, I’m sure it was an accident. Poor bastard. The smack was too strong? Yeah. And he died. And I didn’t know anything about this. Anyway, everybody connected to the death of this poor guy is dead now. Except me.” Faithfull also spoke about Amy
Winehouse’saddictions, saying that the singer, who died in 2011 at age 27, was “very, very wary” of Faithfull because she knew about her drug use. “There’s a level of narcissism which is all mixed up with self-hatred,” said Faithfull. “I know it well ... But I can’t think what I could have done apart from take her and shake her! ‘You stupid little (expletive)! Wake up!’ ”

Singing group recording session ends in fight

The creative process can bring out intense emotions, but a recent argument among Danity Kane members led to violence, TMZ reports. The three women — Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex — were in the recording studio Monday when Richard and O’Day started fighting and Richard allegedly punched O’Day in the head. TMZ says the latter filed a battery report. It’s not hard to imagine the group has a lot of drama, Danity Kane was founded on the 2005 MTV reality show “Making the Band,” which was overseen by Diddy.
