Pistons president Stan Van Gundy hires Quentin Richardson as player mentor

Pistons coach and president Stan Van Gundy added Quentin Richardson to his staff, the team announced Thursday.

Wojnarowski, citing sources, said Richardsonís job will be to mentor and develop players.

Richardson has played 13 seasons in the NBA. He played one game with the Knicks last season. It was his second stint with the team; he has also played for the Clippers, Suns, Heat and Magic.
