Avondale schools to interview superintendent candidates Wednesday, Thursday

Auburn Hills — The Avondale School District will interview six candidates for superintendent at meetings Wednesday and Thursday.

Candidates to be interviewed Wednesday are Nadine Milostan, executive director of student support services for the Waterford School District, 6 p.m.; Robert Martin, chief of staff for Utica Community Schools, 7:30 p.m. and Edward Okuniewski, deputy superintendent for curriculum and instruction at L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, 9 p.m.

Candidates to be interviewed Thursday are Karen Olex, assistant superintendent for student services in the Avondale schools, 6 p.m.; James Schwarz, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction and chief academic officer for the Oxford Community Schools, 7:30 p.m. and Timothy Jalkanen, superintendent of the Fenton Area Public Schools, 9 p.m.

Interviews will be at the Avondale Administrative Offices, 2940 Waukegan, Auburn Hills. Audience questions may be submitted on forms available during the interviews.
