Pontiac — A 50-year-old Pontiac woman suspected in last week's daytime robbery of a Woodward Avenue credit union was arrested over the weekend in Waterford Township, investigators said Monday.
The Genisys Credit Union in the 4400 block of Woodward Avenue was robbed Wednesday afternoon by a woman who handed a teller a demand note and implied she had a gun. The woman fled the bank with cash, which included a dye pack that exploded as she left the bank, leaving behind at least one dye-stained bill, investigators said.
Acting on a tip, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team tracked the woman to Waterford, where she was arrested without incident on Sunday, according to a preliminary report. Evidence from the robbery was also recovered at the address, according to deputies.
The woman is held in the Oakland County Jail pending charges.
