Frankenmuth Brewery's Old Detroit Amber beer back on market

In the late 1800s, long before the Michigan beer boom began, Frankenmuth Brewery was making craft beer. Tuesday, the brewery announced it is resurrecting a longtime favorite label, Old Detroit Amber Ale.

The Saginaw County brewery stopped making the crisp, easy-drinking beer after a tornado destroyed the facility in 1996 (it reopened in 2009). Find it on draft at Metro Detroit bars and restaurants, or in six packs of cans at local beer stores and supermarkets.
