Allen Park ó With the final roster cuts pending in the next few days, the Lions reportedly picked up two more tight ends to evaluate.
The team didnít make an official announcement on Monday, but USA Todayís Tom Pelissero posted on his Twitter account that the Lions have claimed Michael Egnew from the Dolphins and Emil Igwenagu from the Eagles.
Although the Lionsí tight-end spots likely are solidified with Brandon Pettigrew, rookie Eric Ebron and Joseph Fauria, the Lions could be looking at using Egnew or Igwenagu at fullback. The Lions also have two other tight ends, Jacob Maxwell and Jordan Thompson, on the roster.
No corresponding roster moves were announced Monday, with the 75-man roster deadline on Tuesday and the final 53-man roster on Saturday.
