Detroit – – A 3-year-old boy has been hospitalized after falling from a second-story window of his home on the east side.
The child, whose condition wasn’t known, was being minded by his grandmother at the time of the incident Monday at 5:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Courville St., police said.
The boy, who was playing upstairs in the two-story home, had been out of his grandmother’s sight for just a few minutes when the incident occurred, the family told neighbors.
The child was spotted by neighbors as he fell through a window screen and onto the front porch, said Detroit police. An ambulance transported him to St. John Hospital in Detroit.
