Detroit — A suspect in the weekend robbery of a Fifth Third Bank is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court later Wednesday, police said.
Roy Lee Buck Jr., 43, of Detroit was arrested on Monday by the Dearborn Police special operations unit with aid from the FBI Oakland County Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force, and police from Royal Oak and Detroit, according to a press release.
Buck is believed to be the same man who walked into the bank on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak Saturday, handed a teller a demand note and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the incident.
Buck is charged with one count of bank robbery, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison and is being held pending a detention hearing in federal court at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
