The NHL's 2014 Winter Classic

It's the Detroit Red Wings vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs outdoors at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Jan. 1, 2014. The game at the Big House is anticipated to set a world record for attendance at a hockey game.

That's the marquee event after more than a week of activities at the Hockeytown Winter Festival at Comerica Park in Detroit, which will feature an outdoor ice rink to host games between teams representing every level of hockey as well as open skating for the public.

The Red Wings-Maple Leafs Alumni Showdown double-header on Dec. 31 at Comerica Park will get the rivalry started. Click here for ticket information on the Winter Classic.
