Water Poems: A Union of Art and Fashion at Galerie Camille in Detroit

This is the "Wall Divider Kimono" with the image on the fabric from Jon Strand with Leslie Ann Pilling making the kimono by interpreting Strand's image. The Galerie Camille presents “Water Poems: A Union of Art and Fashion,” with Jon Strand’s pointillist paintings, S. Kay Young’s photographs that are altered in Photoshop and Leslie Ann Pilling’s dresses. Strand’s paintings are made of 100s of thousands of dots that take 1,000 hours to paint, while Leslie Ann Pilling’s dresses are interpretations of Jon’s and Kay’s work where she created textiles and constructed the pieces in Detroit, Friday afternoon, September 23, 2016.
