Theresa Williams, teacher at Burton International School, breaks into tears when an open letter to Detroit Public Schools Emergency Manager Darnell Earley written by another teacher is read aloud. "It was all just so true, that we are there for our children and we are there to protect them, their rights, their parents and they are entitled to same democracy that every other community has," she said. "I got my 40th student in my class last week, that's not right, who's going to do that. You have to care about the people you are governing."
