Mitzvah Makeover School Fix-Up Day

Tinaesha Sims, right, 23, of Redford, and Terri Griffin of Detroit, both with Project Healthy Community, paint a mural in the cafeteria at Schulze Academy for Technology and Arts in Detroit on April 2, 2017. Mitzvah Makeover School Fix-Up Day featured volunteers painting murals, organizing the school library, setting up a new tutorial center, creating garden pots and cleaning up the school grounds. The effort is sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council, Michigan Muslim Community Council, Repair the World, Summer in the City, Project Healthy Community and Detroit Food Corps.
