Remembering Negro Leagues baseball

The Detroit Stars, seen in 1920, were organized in the 1910s and became a charter member of the Negro National League in 1921. Teams in the Negro Leagues were comprised mostly of African-American and sometimes Latin players at a time in the 19th and 20th centuries when African-American ballplayers were not accepted in major and minor league clubs.
