Angel Nesbitt, RHP: The 24-year-old Venezuelan is most likely ticketed to close in either Double-A Erie or Triple-A Toledo, but he possesses an upper-90s fastball and he was dominant last season between high Single A and Double A, posting a 1.48 ERA and .0990 WHIP, striking out 72 in 66.2 innings. “Who’s to say he’s not ready to pitch for us,” assistant general manager Al Avila said during the winter meetings. “He throws hard and he’s a good pitcher.”
