Danny Glover will headline Bal Africain

Actor Danny Glover will headline this year's Bal Africain at the Detroit Institute of Arts on June 15. Glover, who starred with Mel Gibson in the 'Lethal Weapon' movies, will be honored by the DIA auxiliary Friends of African and African American Art.

5K and Fun Walk returns to Belle Isle Grand Prix

The race car drivers aren't the only ones circling the Grand Prix track on Belle Isle this month. Runners and walkers can sign up now for the Shakedown 5K and Family Fun Walk, which takes place the evening of May 28 on the track.
