  1. Tiger Woods takes opponent’s ‘beatable’ comment in stride

    There was a time a comment from his opponent in the Match Play Championship, even tongue-in-cheek, would be an extra bit of motivation that Woods didn’t need. Most famous at this event was in 2006, when Stephen Ames was asked about playing Woods and said that anything could happen, adding with a big smile, “Especially where he’s hitting it.”

    Detroit News / GAM Hole In One Contest returns in 2012

    This year’s contest is Wednesday, Sept. 5 and there is no cost to enter. Any player who has had a hole in one on a regulation course is eligible to enter. Contestants will be flighted by gender and age.
