The State of Michigan will sponsor a virtual career fair from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 11, offering job seekers and employers across the state to meet in an online environment.
The event by Michigan Works! and partner Capital Area Michigan Works! will feature 345 jobs with 50 Michigan employers from various industries.
“This is a great opportunity for employers hiring from across the state to use an online high-tech approach to connect with job seekers,” Amy Cell, senior vice president for talent enhancement at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, said in a statement.
During the job fairs, participants can check out virtual employer booths, interact one on one with employers, and search and apply for job opportunities. In addition, job seekers can access information about career development programs and resources. Veterans will also be able to connect with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency.
All job openings posted during the events are accessible to participants for 30 days after event. Employers will receive resumes, transcripts and other information about the candidates.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required at www.mitalent.org/virtualcareerfair.
