FCA US, formerly Chrysler Group, is introducing four new features and an enhanced app for its Uconnect Access infotainment system.

The new services, available on select 2015 models beginning later this year, are designed to help consumers monitor and maintain their vehicle’s key systems, easily navigate to desired destinations and keep track of their vehicle’s location at all times, according to the company.

“We understand that our customers lead busy lifestyles and our goal is to minimize the everyday stresses by providing drivers with a variety of ways to stay conveniently connected to their vehicle,” said Al Amici, FCA US head of global Uconnect System and Services, in a statement.

FCA US, the North American unit of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV, announced the additional services — Vehicle Finder, Send Destination to Vehicle, Vehicle Health Report and Vehicle Health Alert — Monday prior to their introduction at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show that starts Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The Vehicle Finder and Send Destination to Vehicle features work with the enhanced app that features a new look, feel and functionality.

The finder, as named, helps drivers find their vehicle via map or by sounding the horn. The other service allows customers to send a location address directly to their Uconnect system’s touchscreen to use once they’re in the vehicle.

The Health Report is a monthly report that is sent to customers’ personal email accounts informing them about their vehicle’s performance status. At a glance, vehicle owners can review and monitor the status of a vehicle’s key systems that include powertrain, oil and fluid, brakes and suspension, and safety systems.

In addition to the monthly report, which other automakers such as General Motors Co. currently offer, Uconnect Access customers will have access to Vehicle Health Alert. With this service, vehicle owners will immediately receive an email alert that is sent if one of the key powertrain, oils and fluids, brakes and suspension and safety systems requires attention.

Uconnect Access and Uconnect Access via Mobile started being offered on select vehicles and systems for the 2013 model year. It has been enhanced and re-developed numerous times.

Uconnect Access and its mobile app are optional services that currently start at $14.99 a month without Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.
